Trevi & Becky rolled into town on Saturday and rounded up the posse for a delicious “pre-fest” dinner….then on Sunday starting at 8AM…it was ON at Waterloo Park for operation ASS BURN. They have FOUR kick ass Pepper Sauces by way of Houston …

HIGH ON FIRE, ASS BURN, AMPLIFIED HEAT , & FLAMING LIPS

all brewed w/ St. Arnold’s Beer, yo.

NO FUCKING WONDER THEN THAT THEY WON WON WON 1st Place in the the Pepper Sauce Division (Judge’s Category)

Hilary York’s CD Release – Aug’09

My homegirl Hil-a-beans had her CD Release party at the Continental Club for her new “in the Dark” CD…The full band was in force, Liza was in town…hell even Chris Ringstaff and Chris Payeur showed up and of course Hilary slayed all.

Thanks to misplacing my Prada reading glasses (cuz I was headed to Houston right after shooting this show)…I found myself a bit late in catching Amy & her band….booooh. But as ALWAYS amy delivered the goods…and off to Houston, I went to visit Lola.

Damonfest II Weekend

What a weekend….started things off w/ a thunderstorm in houston (big surprise, NOT) delaying leslie’s flight into town, but once that was behind us…all system were go. Good times were had by ALL at the DAMONFEST II gig at the Scoot Inn on Saturday night. Saturday, it was barbeque time at Nathan’s. Sunday, brunch at Polvo’s…with swimming at the Austin Motel throughout the weekend….oh yeah, plenty of trips to Homeslice Pizza as well. yum.

On a sticky night to say the least, courtesy of the first rain shower in WEEKS… (my lens kept fogging up…and mind you I was OUTSIDE) my fav AMY COOK played some tunes off her forthcoming Alejandro produced album…with Tosca on the strings. Oh yeah, and austinite Ben Kwelller led things off, opening up for Amy. only in AUSTIN.

Seeing/hearing Yoshi perform always reminds me how LUCKY i am to be living in austin…cuz BLACK PANDA brings it everytime.

Besides BLUNT FORCE TRAUMA…these guys are one of my fav bands in town. can’t get enough of either one.

As I previously posted on facebook…it was refreshing to go to a show / shoot without having to worry about my token ASSHOLE….popping up in my face and assaulting me….nevermind that….BLACK PANDA slayed as usual (pics of them uploaded tomorrow) and then for FUCK SAKE…We Should Be Dead…always good to see a lead singer with energy…and keyboards/moogs in bands rule. after editing these pics all afternoon/evening….zzzzzzzzzz

After the Invincible Czars jazzed things up….LICK LICK dropped the hammer. Post set I was busy trying to protect the $7,000 dollars worth of camera equipment around my neck (along w/ a Turbo Battery Pack flinging around my side) from an ASSHOLE taking full advantage of my unprotected head to wail on….an unprovoked assault says it all…ASSHOLE
